This is yet another movie in a recent string of movies adapted from Graphic Novels or Comic Books, as the uneducated like to call them. However, where SIN CITY translated to the big screen with ease A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE falls flat on its face. Read the two paragraphs above … you have now seen A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE. Two of my favorite parts:
(1)The extensive ode to the lung tissue left on Tom's shirt after the frontyard massacre.
(2)The close-up of the abrasions on the wife's back after the stairs fiasco--just so we know that it definitely hurt.
